Yesterday, The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod raised over $12,000 after hosting its first ever “SkyJump for a Cure” charitable event, partnering with Students of the Year to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Throughout the day, 108 participants took the plunge from SkyJump, The STRAT’s exhilarating, open-air leap from 829 feet above the Las Vegas Valley. All proceeds from SkyJump were donated directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help reach an end goal of $50,000.
Through Students of the Year, high school students take on innovative campaigns during a seven-week competition to raise money for cures and access to treatment for blood cancer. The “SkyJump for a Cure” campaign was led by 17-year-old Kailee Olliges, who spearheaded the event as part of her personal mission to help create a world without blood cancer.
Free parking and valet are always available at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod.
