The highly-anticipated annual WWE event, SummerSlam, hit the city of Las Vegas this past weekend, and took place at the brand-new Allegiant Stadium.
That being said, this wasn’t the only new establishment visited by the iconic WWE superstars. Circa Resort & Casino, located in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street Experience, had its fair share of celebrity sightings last week. After opening in October 2020, this groundbreaking property seems to be the designated hot spot for all of the biggest stars, and it’s not slowing down any time soon.
Circa was flooded with WWE greats who, coincidentally, all knew the perfect way to prepare for their biggest event of the year.
WWE Chief Brand Officer, the one and only Stephanie McMahon, brought her mother, Linda, to the resort’s renowned steakhouse, Barry’s Downtown Prime. This innovative, yet vintage dining spot not only has an extensive list of celebrity guests, but a wide variety of mouth-watering steaks, seafood, side dishes, and sweets. The mother-daughter duo was seated in one of the restaurant’s private booths where the chef had the pleasure of serving them course after course. Stephanie and Linda are definitely used to living the VIP lifestyle, but were still incredibly grateful, nonetheless. Following their multi-course meal, the powerful pair was introduced to co-owner/chef, Barry S. Dakake. Barry was thrilled to escort the McMahons to a secret, special place – the kitchen, where many selfies were snapped between the restaurant namesake and the WWE royalty.
The McMahons were just the beginning of the famous Circa Las Vegas guestlist, as the legendary Bill Goldberg paid his first visit to the downtown steakhouse he has heard so much about. The wrestling powerhouse devoured his favorite signature dishes with his loved ones and some of his closest friends, one of which being MMA great, Frank Mir.
The friendly fighters were the next duo to take a tour, courtesy of Chef Barry. Once they made it to the kitchen, they also said “thank you” to co-owner, Yassine Lyoubi. When it comes to the fight-or-flight response, it appears the steakhouse co-owners chose the latter (all in good WWE-related fun, of course).
A few days later, Goldberg’s very own SummerSlam competition, Bobby Lashley, enjoyed Barry’s Downtown Prime (more specifically, their popular “Christine’s Carrot Cake”). It appears the cream cheese-filled dessert gave Lashley a long-lasting sugar rush, enough to retain his title as the reigning WWE Champion.
The celebrity sightings continued on, as Barry’s Downtown Prime met female WWE bombshells, Sonya Deville, Liv Morgan, Mandy Rose, and Dana Brooke. Dana was joined by pro-boxer and the love of her life, Ulysses Diaz.
While in town, the crew met up with the man who knows a thing or two about the Vegas VIP life, Richard Wilk, who is currently a Circa Resort executive and no stranger to the faces of the WWE.
Celebrating the release of his new film, Snake Eyes, actor Dean Muhtadi (formerly known as WWE’s Mojo Rawley), hit up Barry’s with his wrestler buddies, too.
Even though WWE week has come to an end (for now), rest assured the superstars will continue to spend their downtime at the one and only Circa Resort & Casino.
