Murray SawChuck aka Murray The Magician, headliner at Tropicana Las Vegas / Luxor Fantasy Show Comedian, and Dani Elizabeth, Host and Lead Dancer at Crazy Girls at Planet Hollywood Resort and former showgirl of Jubilee at Ballys just got engaged!
Murray asked Dani to marry him up in Mount Charleston, Nevada along with their rescue pups up in one of the cabins. It’s their favorite get-away from their busy Vegas lifestyles. The were hanging out having a glass of wine and having a few snacks, when Murray opened a Cracker Jack Box to have some cracker jacks and asked Dani to see what prize was inside the box… when she looked for the prize it was the engagement ring. Murray proceeded to ask her to marry him and she said YES!
Murray came up with the idea of surprising her with the engagement ring in the cracker jack box because that’s how his father John Sawchuk asked his mother Arlene Sawchuk to marry him. They were married for 54 years before Murray’s father passed away in 2015.
Murray chose Sept. 28, 2020 to ask Dani because that is exactly the 3 year anniversary of Murray asking Dani out on their first date, which was at Mr. Chows at Caesars Palace for a Luxury Magazine Party Red Carpet along with Robin Leach and many other Las Vegas Entertainers. Most people don’t have a photo of their first day but they happen to get one with Robin Leach taken candidly by Jerry Metellus.

Dani was one of Robin Leach’s favorite showgirls and always gave her advice about showbiz and life. He even bought her an alarm system for her home to make sure she was safe when she bought her first house.
Murray and Dani were first introduced at a dinner set up by Norbert Aleman, the owner and creator of Crazy Girls, when Murray’s show was in the same room at Planet Hollywood and Norbert owned the room. Murray laughed as he auditioned to get into Crazy Girls at the Riviera in 2002. Murray auditioned in the old La Cage room between Crazy Girl shows for Norbert, set up by Wayne Bernath the publicist and vouched for by Lance Burton. Murray nailed the audition, but was never hired as Norbert was worried he’d sleep with the girls!
