Fat Sal’s Deli, the celebrated Los Angeles-based eatery known for its larger-than-life sandwiches and sides, has opened its first Nevada location at 450 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101, inside Neonopolis.
Fat Sal’s invites guests to indulge in its unique blend of East Coast and Italian-American flavors with a vibrant West Coast flair.
Since its inception, Fat Sal’s has delivered over-the-top comfort food made from premium ingredients. The menu features an array of deli classics, gourmet hamburgers and the hallmark Fat Sandwiches, mouthwatering works of art stuffed with meats, cheeses, condiments, sides and sauces on an extra-wide French baguette. Options include:
- Fat Sal ($18.99) made with thinly sliced ribeye steak, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, fries, brown gravy and mayonnaise on a garlic hero
- Fat Bodega ($18.99) made with Harlem chopped cheese (ground beef, sauteed onions and American cheese), onion rings pickles, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, fries, ketchup and mayonnaise on a butter-grilled hero
- Fat Jerry ($19.99) made with thinly sliced ribeye steak, grilled onions, melted American cheese, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, crispy bacon, fried egg, fries, mayonnaise, ketchup and salt and pepper on a hero (featured on Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”)
- Fat Breakfast ($18.99) made with fried eggs, ham, crispy bacon, breakfast sausage, mozzarella sticks, melted American cheese, tater tots, ketchup and Tapatío on a butter-grilled hero
- Fat Banh Mi-Ki ($19.99) made with thinly sliced sweet and spicy soy-marinated ribeye steak, onion rings, Vietnamese pickled vegetables, Szechuan slaw, tomato, fresh jalapeños, cilantro, teriyaki glaze, sriracha and mayonnaise on a garlic hero
Another fan favorite is the Fat Fries which can be loaded with a variety of options like melted cheddar and mozzarella, gravy, chili, Philly cheesesteak, bacon, salami and hamburger.
Patrons can also enjoy a variety of inventive milkshakes, including the #5 Shake with strawberry ice cream, graham cracker crumbs and a slice of NY cheesecake. For those with dietary restrictions, Fat Sal’s offers several vegan options, such as the Vegan Fat Falafel with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers, fresh dill, extra virgin olive oil, fries, hummus and tzatziki sauce on a hero; and the #6 Vegan Shake made with vanilla cashew milk “ice cream,” peanut butter, Oreos, “whipped cream” and chocolate syrup.
Embracing its over-the-top theme, Fat Sal’s challenges guests to tackle the $99.99 Big Fat Fatty — a 30-inch garlic hero piled high with cheesesteak, cheeseburgers, pastrami, chicken fingers, crispy bacon, mozzarella sticks, fried eggs, fries, onion rings, chili, marinara sauce and Fat Sauce — or the Big Fat Fat Shake, also $99.99, loaded with 30 scoops each of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, cake, candy, cookies, pretzels, syrup and whipped cream. If a guest can finish the Big Fat Fatty in 40 minutes or the Big Fat Shake in 10 minutes, the item is free and they can create and name their own fat sandwich or fat shake.
Fat Sal’s is dedicated to creating a dynamic and engaging dining environment from its distinctive employee apparel to eye-catching murals, painted by California muralist Fabez.
“People have been asking for a Fat Sal’s in Las Vegas for years, and we’re thrilled to finally make it happen,” said Bobby Sabas, co-founder of Twenty4 Hospitality Group which will operate the location. “We’ve brought our over-the-top guilty pleasure sandwiches and sides to the Las Vegas community, and we invite everyone to come in and enjoy a taste of what we have to offer.”
Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Councilman Cedric Creer will officially welcome Fat Sal’s with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its grand opening celebration on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. Guests are invited to enjoy music from a DJ, a custom merchandise drop and giveaways from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Additionally, Fat Sal’s will launch a fundraiser to support Project 150, which provides free support and services to homeless, displaced and disadvantaged high school students, helping them stay in school, graduate and build bright futures. From Sept. 19 through Oct. 31, the deli will donate $1.50 from each Fat Jerry sold to Project 150.
Fat Sal’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. A second Las Vegas Fat Sal’s is slated to open in November in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops.
