In exciting local news, Bishop Gorman High School here in Las Vegas, renowned for its powerhouse sports programs, has made a strategic move by hiring Matt Stoner as their new baseball head coach.
After a tumultuous year that led to a coaching change, the rumor on the street is that the program is now in great hands with Stoner, a local high school and college coach with over 20 years of experience. Stoner, who recently served as an assistant coach at the College of Southern Nevada, helped lead the team to three conference championships and the NJCAA World Series, finishing fifth.
Stoner was spotted at Barry’s Prime with former MLB pitcher David Riske and Circa Resort & Casino owner Derek Stevens, who stopped by to congratulate him and chat about baseball.
“We are excited to have Coach Stoner at Bishop Gorman and look forward to what his experience will bring to the program,” said Grant Rice, Athletic Director.
Seven-time Mr. Olympia champion, Flex Lewis, and top Brazilian bodybuilder, Ramon Dino, were spotted eating at Barry’s inside Circa Resort & Casino. The two famous bodybuilders were celebrating the third anniversary of Flex’s, Dragon Lair’s Gym here in Vegas. Ramon was joined by his wife, Vitoria, for a 10-day training session with Flex, traveling all the way from Brazil.
They also got to celebrate the birthday of Ali Lewis, Flex’s wife, over a great meal and some desserts. The excitement over these two guys wasn’t just in the restaurant but was also seen all over their Instagram pages to over 7.9 million followers.
