Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) will hold its inaugural “Day at the Derby” on Saturday, May 1, 2021, outdoors in a beautiful setting adhering to COVID protocols in the Florentine Garden at the hosting hotel Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa at 4 p.m.
The event’s presenting sponsor is Aetna Medicare Solutions.
The purpose for the fundraiser is to raise money to help senior citizens across the Las Vegas Valley access to essential services such as food and transportation. The event with 8 News Now weather anchor Sherry Swensk as emcee will feature southern fare, mint juleps, silent auction, wine pull, fashion show, raffle, as well as “Most Fabulous Hat” and “Most Dapper Attire.”
