Pet adoptions encouraged and half-off for all animals
Adopt your own Golden Misfit and meet Vegas Golden Knights forward Gage Quinney at a free meet and greet and pet adoption event at the Henderson Animal Care and Control facility on Saturday, Aug. 19, featuring an opportunity for photos and autographs.
Receive a special VGK pet bandana with pet adoption or sponsored adoptions, which are half-off all month long as part of Animal Care and Control’s efforts to clear the shelters.
Adoptions are not required to attend the meet and greet, but are encouraged. Admission is free and open to the public. Limit one autograph per person.
Adoption fees are as follows:
- Dogs | $45
- Cats | $40
- Rabbits | $17.50
- Guinea pigs | $5
Quinney became the first and only Nevada-born player in NHL history when he debuted for the Vegas Golden Knights in 2020. A former member of the Las Vegas Storm junior program, Quinney led the Henderson Silver Knights in scoring last season.
