International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women’s rights movement, whether that means working in politics, becoming an activist for social change, or breaking barriers in athletics, women have gone the extra mile to gain equality and advocate for a better world.
March is also Women’s History Month – commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.
