New wrap-around, full-room simulator designed to provide realistic flight instruction to student pilots
All In Aviation, Southern Nevada’s premier flight school and full-service aviation company, is the first independent flight school in the U.S. to acquire one of the most innovative flight training simulators on the market – the ALSIM ALSR20 Flight Training Device (FTD).
The technologically advanced simulator provides student pilots with a unique and immersive training experience when earning their private pilot license (PPL) and instrument rating (IR).
Equipped with ALSIM’s Advanced VFR Visual System featuring a 270-degree wrap-around screen, ALSIM’s patented force feedback system, and a Cirrus SR G6-specific interior cockpit and flight deck with Garmin avionics, the ALSR20 FTD is a replica of the SR20 Cirrus Aircraft. This setup allows student pilots to familiarize themselves with Cirrus Aircraft’s specifications before getting into an actual plane.
All In Aviation purchased the simulator at the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh general aviation convention in August, and just completed the installation at their Henderson Executive Airport (HND) location.
“We pride ourselves on providing premier flight training options to our students,” said Paul Sallach, president of All In Aviation. “Bringing a simulation device like the ALSR20 to the Las Vegas market allows us to continue to do just that. Not only does it help prepare our students for flying a Cirrus, but its advanced technology allows them to get a feel for the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System in action.”
According to ALSIM, All In Aviation’s simulator will be the only one like it in Southern Nevada. There is currently one other ALSR20 FTD in America located at Cirrus Aircraft’s Vision Jet Center in Knoxville, TN.
“Since launching our private pilot ground school, we’ve been looking for ways to diversify our training program,” added Sallach. “Having the ALSR20 FTD on-site makes it convenient to add it to the curriculum, while also offering an alternative for training when weather conditions are not ideal. Plus, for advanced certifications, licensed private pilots can use it to train for their instrument rating.”
