Join the fourth annual ¡Andale! 5K Run/Walk to support Latino students seeking legal careers.
This fun, end-of-summer event brings the community together while raising money to support Latino college students and graduates pursue their professional dreams.
The Nevada Latino Bar Association hosts the yearly fundraiser to open doors for aspiring lawyers, with the goal of creating a profession more reflective of Nevada’s diversity.
“While making up 18% of our country’s population, Hispanics comprise only about 5% of the nation’s lawyers,” the Nevada Latino Bar Association said. “A significant barrier for many Hispanics who wish to pursue a legal education is their inability to afford an LSAT preparation course, which would lead to higher LSAT scores and ultimate[ly] a higher chance of getting accepted into law school.”
The annual race raises funds to help Latino college students pay for LSAT preparation courses through the ¡Andale! Scholarship. Last year, $100,000 was raised, funding 17 scholarships. The scholarship application deadline is 9/10/22
This year’s ¡Andale! 5K Run/Walk will take place at Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex on Saturday, September 24 at 8 a.m. Tickets are $55. The deadline to become a sponsor for this year’s event is coming up on September 10.
Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex is located at: 7901 W Washington Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89128.
