As we move into another fabulous Southern Nevada summer, the City of North Las Vegas is looking to bring on new members to a variety of positions including lifeguards, program specialists and supervisors, Safekey instructors and Safekey leads.
Perfect for anyone looking to get out of the house this summer and hang by the pool,lifeguard positions are available now at various locations including the newly renovated Silver Mesa pool and other pools around the city. Looking to fill around 20 more positions, North Las Vegas offers training classes and free CPR classes for anyone hired on. The pay is $14 an hour, and applicants must be at least 16 years or older.
For those looking to interact more with their community, program specialists and supervisors work on a variety of tasks, including arranging and assisting with recreational activities, field trips and special events, working with members of the community to facilitate recreational programs and more, based on experience and availability. Applicants for the supervisor position must be at least 18 years or older, and pay is $14 an hour. Pay for the specialist position is $12 an hour.
The Safekey positions are perfect for anyone passionate about childcare, with positions available for seasonal programs, before and after school programs. Job activities vary based on location, including assisting with the set-up and participation in recreational activities, working with day camp students over the summer, monitoring use of various athletic equipment and more. Pay ranges from $10 – 12 an hour.
