Parkinson’s Place Las Vegas presents the 5th annual Movement Fair Saturday, Apr. 29 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Student Union Center.
This premier community event is free and is designed to share the best available exercise modalities to reduce the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
The keynote speaker will be Linda K. Olson, nationally recognized author of “Gone: A Memoir of Love, Body, and Taking Back My Life”, Parkinson’s advocate and retired Professor of Radiology at the University of California, San Diego. The special guest speaker will be Kristine Meldrum, a Parkinson’s Wellness Coach, Genesis Health Club’s Neuro Wellness Program Instructor, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and Certified Rock Steady Head Coach and Trainer.
In addition, certified trainers will present Parkinson’s exercise demonstrations in multiple disciplines, including yoga, cycling, dancing and boxing. The event will also include a fashion show, light lunch and much more.
