Downtown Las Vegas’ premier open-air shopping center and entertainment center hosts a variety of fall favorite events including ‘Movies on the Lawn’ and more
Creep it real this Halloween season at Downtown Container Park! The open-air shopping center & entertainment venue will put a spell on you with its family-friendly lineup of Halloween events including spooky movie nights on The Lawn, costume contests and trick-or-treating around the park.
Beginning Thursday, October 12th and continuing through Halloween, little ghouls, beasts and everyone in-between are invited to enjoy an array of Halloween festivities. The treats begin every Sunday at sunset with featured ‘frights’ on The Lawn including the following familiar favorites:
Thursday, October 12th – Nightmare Before Christmas
Thursday, October 19th – Coco
Thursday, October 26th – Ghostbusters
Tuesday, October 31st – Hocus Pocus
The Las Vegas community is invited to celebrate Filipino American History Month on Saturday, October 28th from 12 – 8 p.m. during a special edition of Mahalo Halo. Guests of the park can expect a variety of Filipino vendors like Four4Corners Kitchen food truck and Libra n a Leo Luxury Candles and Scents.
The stage at Container Park transforms into a space for cultural expression and exploration with live performances by Innerlude and H3rizon. Guiding the afternoon festivities will be Emcees JarR Beat Box and MC Lepa Leps with music by Las Vegas local DJ Presto One.
Grab your ghouliest garb and head downtown on Sunday, October 29th from 5 – 9 p.m. for a Caribbean-infused costume party on The Lawn. The islands meet spooky season with live music from Havana Express Orquestra, Esencia Colombians Los Reyes de la Cumbria Jaime Almaza, DJ Oskar and a special live performance by Allegra Gonzalez of “La Mambo Baby” fame. This family-friendly event includes dancing, contests and drink specials from Oak & Ivy and Bin 702 for the adults. Entry to this event is all ages and free.
On Tuesday, October 31st, keep calm and scare on! In celebration of All Hallows’ Eve, Container Park welcomes costumed kiddos for a special evening of trick-or-treating. Guests can go tenant-to-tenant for special gifts and candy from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and compete in a park-wide costume contest at6:30 p.m. At 7:45 p.m.,candy-laden youngsters are invited to enjoy a complimentary sunset screening on The Lawn of the hauntingly hilarious live-action classic Hocus Pocus. In addition to the evening’s many festivities, attendees can expect special spooky activities around the park like Alchemical Cabinet’s broom-making station or Black Spade Tattoo’s $150 Halloween-themed ink special.
