Piero’s Italian Cuisine Donates More Than $1,000 To The Shade Tree
Last night, Piero’s Italian Cuisine, a treasured Las Vegas fine dining restaurant, donated $1,279 to The Shade Tree of Las Vegas, in addition to providing and serving an exceptional Italian meal to the shelter’s 120 residents.
The donation was raised in celebration of Piero’s 41st anniversary, and the winner was chosen by followers of the restaurant’s Instagram at @PierosLasVegas.
“Piero’s is honored to celebrate over four decades in the Las Vegas community by making this donation to The Shade Tree on behalf of our team and our generous guests,” said Evan Glusman, owner of Piero’s Italian Cuisine. “As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of giving back to our community and we’re proud to support an organization that provides such vital services to women and children every day.”
Piero’s and its team members served dinner to the shelter’s 120 residents, including favorites like fettucine alfredo, Caesar salad, chicken parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs.
The donation was raised in celebration of Piero’s 41st anniversary in March. The family-operated and owned restaurant featured a special prix fixe menu all month and pledged to donate $4.10 for each menu ordered to a local nonprofit.
Piero’s encouraged guests to vote for the local nonprofit they wanted Piero’s to donate to via a pinned post on the restaurant’s Instagram page. After one month of voting, The Shade Tree won by a large margin of votes from followers.
The Shade Tree provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis. It is the largest shelter of its kind in Nevada and is the only 24-hour accessible shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and their children in the region.
Their mission is to offer life-changing services promoting stability, dignity and self-reliance.
