The Las Vegas Pizza Festival returned to The INDUSTRIAL Event Space on Saturday, Nov. 12.
Presented by Greco and Sons and in partnership with the Las Vegas Pizza Alliance, more than 1,600 attendees filled The INDUSTRIAL to sample slices from over 20 of the best local pizzerias, including headliners Vincent Rotolo from Good Pie, John Arena from Metro Pizza and Tony Gemignani from Pizza Rock.
“This event started out as a dream five years ago and debuted in 2019 until we were interrupted by the pandemic,” Rotolo explains, “And now we’re back, bigger, better and with more delicious pizza.”
During the festival, Rotolo and Gemignani took a moment to recognize Greco and Son’s founder, Eddie Greco Sr., for his service to the pizza industry by presenting him with the Las Vegas Pizza Festival’s “Lifetime Achievement” award.
“We thought a lot about who we wanted to recognize today,” Gemignani said, “Eddie is the biggest cheerleader in the pizza industry who has brought us a personal, independent operator connection that helped a lot of us pizza makers.”
In addition to the unlimited samples of Detroit, Sicilian, New York and other variations of tasty pizzas, drinks and desserts were also available.
Throughout the event, guests enjoyed live music by Frankie Lee and The Infernos, a pizza-spinning demo by world champion Scott Volpe, custom art by Pretty Done, flash tattoos by Faux Tattoo Studios and numerous Instagram-worthy photo opportunities throughout the venue.
Other participants in the festival included Old School Pizzeria, Pizzeria Monzu, Dom Demarco’s, Brooklyn’s Best Pizza & Pasta, Bonanno’s New York Pizza Kitchen, Esther’s Kitchen, Al Solito Posto, Evel Pie, Naked City Pizza Shop, Rebellion Pizza, Custom Pizza Truck, Signora Pizza Truck, Superfrico, Carmine’s Pizza Kitchen, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, Women in Pizza, Snap-O-Razzo, Sand Dollar, PizzaCake by Buddy Valastro, Via Focaccia, Trustworthy Brewing Co., Big Dog’s Brewing Company, Crafthaus Brewery, Las Vegas Brewery and Jupiter Wine Co.
