Three-Day Itinerary for Las Vegas First-Timers

So you’re planning a trip to Sin City, and you want to make the most of your time there, but you’re overwhelmed by the amount of choice available and paralyzed by indecision as a result.

It’s a surprisingly common position to find yourself in as a first-time visitor to Vegas. To give you a nudge in the right direction, and some inspiration for your own planning, here is a suggested itinerary you can use as a blueprint.

Day One – Check In & Get Gambling

Your best option as a new arrival in Las Vegas is to stick to just one casino resort for the first day, getting to know your surroundings and familiarizing yourself with the ebb and flow of the city before you explore further afield.

There are lots of top-rated hotels in Vegas to choose from, and while you can save cash by choosing non-casino accommodation, it’s really a false economy. Checking into the Bellagio, The Venetian or Caesars Palace will give you a world of entertainment just outside your room.

Once you’re settled, heading to the casino floor to get a taste of Vegas’ gambling scene is worthwhile. Start slow with slot machines and take advantage of new free spins and no deposit offers, before moving on to table games like roulette and blackjack, which are far more accessible in terms of their rules.

Finish your day with a meal at one of the many on-site restaurants offered by major resorts. Some take walk-in diners, while others will require booking in advance, so check this to avoid disappointment.

Day Two – See the Strip & Go Shopping

After a well-earned rest, your next day should be dedicated to discovering more of what Las Vegas has to offer, and that means heading out of your hotel and visiting the other sights of the world-famous Strip.

Bear in mind that if you’re visiting in warmer months, the temperature outside will be unbearably hot, so you might need to hop in taxis to move between big name hotels. Some are connected by air-conditioned walkways, which is a blessing.

So what is there to see and do at the resorts on the Strip? Well, shopping at designer outlets is always on the cards, and there are also myriad other attractions available, including highlights like the roller coaster at New York, New York.

If you’re feeling even more adventurous, you could book yourself onto a tour of Las Vegas, complete with a guide to give you background info on the history of the city. It’s just a case of working out what kind of day you’d like to have.

Day Three – Chill Out & See a Show

Another thing which all good Vegas resorts offer is ample in-house amenities for those who want to relax and kick back. From spa treatments to lazy rivers and pools with swim-up bars, you can go all-out on the vacation vibes, without needing to go anywhere else.

Then, when you are thoroughly refreshed, your final evening can be spiced up with the unforgettable experience of a full-blown Vegas show.

Whether you’re interested in music, magic, stand up comedy or anything in between, there’s a show in Sin City to suit. Once again, booking in advance is a good plan, particularly for high profile acts that are often occupying residencies at big resorts.

By the time you’ve completed your three day visit to Las Vegas, you’ll be sad to leave, but glad to know that the next time you return you’ll be better equipped to soak up all that the city has to offer.
